Fresh Faces: Karma Rx

LOS ANGELES—Karma Rx brought a fearless attitude into her new career in porn, not to mention a fan following that knows where she’s willing to go. “My Snapchat has always been really popular because I do weird shit,” Karma says. “I did a squirt show in the DMV. I did anal in Del Taco. I did a lot of dressing room shows. People like the public stuff.” Her penchant for going to extremes with her Snapchat videos turned into a lucrative side hustle while she was managing the vape & tattoo shop where she worked for almost three years, “90 hours a week and getting paid for 30.” “I booked people for tattoos and I managed the e-cigarette part of it,” says the 24-year-old native of the San Fernando Valley. Before that, she was homeless—literally—for four-and-a-half years. “I slept on concrete and dug in the trash,” Karma says. “I had a drug problem. I have five-and-a-half years clean now.” She says living on the streets helps her keep the fast life she has now in perspective. “I’m grateful that everything in my life went the way that it did because I believe that I have the drive that I have because I was homeless,” Karma tells AVN. “I don’t take things for granted and I work really hard for everything that I have in my life and I’m proud of everything I’ve accomplished. “I believe that I can do anything because getting from homeless to un-homeless is about the hardest thing you can do. People don’t really realize that when they yell ‘get a job’ to homeless people. But it’s very hard to do so when you don’t have a shower and address, or anybody to help you. Also I think it helps me that I know the value of money and I know what it does—it buys shit. So money has never gotten to my head. “I’m able to be grateful for all the stuff that I have and grateful in a way that I don’t think a lot of people know about. It makes me want to work harder to not end up there again and I put a lot of work into maintaining that. …I’m going to take over the world.”  Karma, who left her ex-husband in late June, said porn was always in her sights. It didn’t take her long to land an exclusive 60-day deal to perform her first boy/girl scenes for Mindgeek after signing with ATMLA for representation in August. Under the agreement, Karma is shooting for the company’s various studio brands such as Reality Kings, Brazzers and Digital Playground. “I really like dick and to be honest part of this sets me up to never be in that situation again where I’m with one dude,” she continues. “I seem to get imprisoned in relationships and I don’t ever mean to be in committed relationships and somehow it happens. Now I have an excuse forever…there wasn’t a lot of thought that went into it other than it’s been part of the plan and why not do it now?” Karma, who has more than 908,000 Instagram followers, scores of subscribers to her premium Snapchat and a ManyVids account ranked in the Top 15, said she watched a lot of porn before trying it. “I still watch a lot of porn. Now it’s cool because I know a lot of the people and it’s extra creepy,” she jokes. “I’ve heard a lot of people say it ruins porn for them. It doesn’t for me at all—it makes it better.” While she had heard of Pornhub and Brazzers, she didn’t know who many of the performers were before getting started. “I didn’t really put too much thought into the companies at the time because I was just perving. But I really want to work with Bonnie Rotten. I don’t even know if she’s still working but that’s kind of a dream of mine. And Tommy Gunn just because I met him and I want to have sex with him on or off film; and Anna Bell Peaks because she’s cool and I like her,” Karma says. “A lot of the porn that I watch I’m not even sure that it’s made legally. I actually didn’t know anybody’s name coming into the industry. I like shitty porn where you’re kind of not sure if it’s real or not. I like to question.” She adds, “I like Russian porn a lot. German gangbangs—there’s like nothing like it that I’ve seen that’s well made. But I don’t know who any of those people are because most of them are wearing weird masks.” Karma says what attracted her to building a brand on Snapchat was how real she could be—the grittier the situation the more thrilling it was to pull off. “I could go to jail and if they catch me,” she admits. “I was snapping all the people at the DMV waiting in line and everybody’s been to the DMV so it’s interesting. People want to watch that. It’s exciting for me to do that.   “I get an adrenaline rush and I’ve almost been arrested a lot of times with some of my riskier moves. Anal in Del Taco is just disgusting. That’s a disgusting thing to do, but that was a good one—everybody liked that.” Karma said she stopped at the fast food joint on the way to work. “At the time I was still working at the vape shop and I was like, eh I’m going to do a show—in the bathroom; I wish I could pull off a booth. That’s terrifying, I don’t want to go to jail,” she says.  She used a dildo on herself.  “I have a lot of sex toys, like hundreds,” Karma reveals. “I think I have every sex toy that exists, plus I have a Sybian, I have a fuck machine, I have everything. Partly because I’m a pervert and partly because this is what I do for a living. While none of them have yet to be unveiled, it’s safe to say anticipation is mounting. Karma, who had the nickname since she was 13, did her first ever pro scene on Sept. 27 with Ramon Nomar in Florida—for Reality Kings. A day later she took on Sean Lawless and then banged Nomar again for Reality Kings in her third scene the following day. She added scenes with Charles Dera, Danny Mountain and Keiran Lee to her resume in early October.  Meanwhile, her ManyVids profile, where she has 80 videos for sale, continues to be a phenom along with her premium Snap. “I’m always going to create my content but I don’t know if I’m going to do this live shit content too much longer. It’s a really lucrative headache,” admits Karma, who skyrocketed to No. 22 on ManyVids in her first month. “The reason I got to No. 22 in a month is I read articles about how to increase your ManyVids score…I put work into everything I’m doing.” It all began with her explicit antics on Snapchat, where she created a premium account in the summer of 2015. “There were overwhelming numbers of people asking me to do that and I was like why not?” she recalls. “Because I’ve been a whore all my life and so I did that and the first day I did it I made more money than I’ve ever had in my life. So I kept that up for the next two years.” She says porn sounds like a vacation by comparison though, as the grind of creating daily content for to snap can be daunting.     “I have a lot of confidence and I work hard, so I think I’m going to take over porn and that’s what I believe,” Karma says. “This is a business venture for me. I like it and it’s fun and I can make the most money with the skills I already have by selling pussy.” Karma’s exotic collection of body art includes ink decorating her entire right side. “It’s like a Medusa head but she’s got leeches instead of snakes,” she says. “Because women are succubi.
