GoFundMe Set Up to Aid Tommy Gunn After Severe Hand Injury |
SANTA CLARITA, Calif.—Close friend and fellow veteran performer Marcus London has set up a GoFundMe page to help cover the medical expenses being incurred by AVN Hall of Famer Tommy Gunn following an accident just over a week ago that left two of his fingers partially severed. While he was attending the Burning Man festival in Nevada, a mishap occurred involving a rooftop hatch on Gunn's custom truck "Big Momma" that severed the tips of the middle and ring fingers on his right hand. He managed to retrieve the tips and was air lifted to a medical facility in Reno where doctors attempted to reattach them. Gunn told AVN today that the tips "didn't take" and so he is now faced with exploring other surgical options to repair the hand. Though Gunn does have medical insurance, the bills he will be left to pay out of pocket may still be beyond his means given the severity of the injury. London set the fundraising goal for the assistance campaign at $15,000, noting that the amount could change once "further information is received based on Tommy's recovery."
