CamSodaâs Lifestream Feature Is Pornâs âBig Brotherâ Show |
LOS ANGELES—Fans of the CBS summer staple Big Brother can now take their love of voyeurism a step further, thanks to the newest feature from CamSoda, LifeStream. CamSoda is looking for people from all walks of life to broadcast their day-to-day comings and goings and more, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, in exchange for $200 a month to cover their internet bill. CamSoda Vice President Darren Press told AVN the LifeStream feature on CamSoda is open to singles, couples and more worldwide willing to open up their personal lives to members of CamSoda. Those who sign up for LifeStream, he said, are not required to perform any type of sexual acts and will not receive tips. “However, many performers create traditional webcam model accounts and use LifeStream to promote themselves,” he said. That’s not to say, however, that LifeStream participants must censor themselves; LifeSteam will allow people to share what they want to share, unlike other social media programs—Facebook, Instagram and the like—that censor content, especially nudity. Already, there are close to a dozen participants on LifeStream, and CamSoda has received applications from a few hundred more. Those who are approved for LifeStream will receive a $200 monthly stipend to cover their internet costs, and will be required to install two custom 720p webcams, provided by CamSoda, in their rooms or homes. There is no minimum amount of time LifeSteam members need to participate in the program, nor is there any limit on the number of months CamSoda will pay participants, Press said. As for how many participants LifeStream will offer, Press said, “We will let the viewers’ demand decide the size.” There are already plans in the works to expand LifeStream, including adding a story feature so viewers can catch up on anything they might have missed from a model’s broadcast and utilizing a virtual reality camera in some cases. To apply for LifeStream, Press said interested people can email [email protected]/* */ and “we will walk them through the process.” For more, visit CamSoda.com/LifeStream.com.
