Bella Rose Wins Cherry Pop's Schoolgirl Casting Contest |
MONTREAL—Fans chose up-and-comer Bella Rose as the winner of nascent studio Cherry Pop Films' Schoogirl Fantasy social media casting contest, the studio announced Monday. Rose claimed a narrow victory against Emma Hix in the championship round of the contest, and was awarded the lead role in Robby D.'s upcoming Cherry Pop feature All American Pie. The month-long contest started with a field of 24 starlets, narrowed down in a series of elimination rounds as voted upon daily by fans via Twitter. Selected from fan submissions and Robby D.'s wish list of new talent, the original group of contestants included Ashley Adams, Holly Hendrix, Lily Adams, Jaye Summers and Zoe Parker. "Her fans proved to be ever dedicated, propelling her through four rounds of voting and a tough four-day championship round against our fellow Canadia, Emma Hix. Both Bella and Emma will be cast in Cherry Pop Films' upcoming feature, so really we all win with the two teens showcased in our new film for Cherry Pop. Fans have chosen the perfect schoolgirl casting." In the event Rose in unable to fill the role for any reason, it will pass to Hix and Cherry Pop will select another of the finalists from round three of the competition for inclusion in the production.
