Axel Braun Warns of Impostor Contacting Talent |
CHATSWORTH, Calif.—Director Axel Braun reports that an individual claiming to be him has been contacting adult talent via the website SexyJobs.com with bogus offers for scene bookings. According to Braun, the impostor has sent messages to performers containing such propositions as "I usually pay $1,000 for a suck/swallow scene." Noting that this person "is obviously unaware of the industry's terminology and rates," Braun cautioned, "We should not underestimate the potential ramifications that his actions could have. Aside from the obvious confusion, there is a high risk of possible coercion into sexual acts, and I just need people to be warned and alert. "Meanwhile I have reported this to the local authorities," he continued, "and I will be cooperating with them in hopes to thwart any possible fraudulent and criminal activities perpetrated under my name." A representative for SexyJobs.com told AVN that the impostor's account has been terminated, and stated, "Rest assured, we will speedily reply with any information provided when it comes to fraud or misrepresentation of any kind." This is not the first time a Braun impersonator has struck—in 2014 someone purporting to be him contacted over 150 performers via email about casting them in a phony parody of Breaking Bad.
