Page Six Runs 'Oral History' of Kim Kardashian Sex Tape Upon 10th Anniversary

NEW YORK—Who would've thunk it? Ten years on, and the girl almost no one had heard of at the time is still basking in the spectacular fame that got its start with the release by Vivid Entertainment of then quasi-at-best "celebrity" sex tape Kim Kardashian, Superstar. On Monday, in recognition of that momentous motion picture's 10th anniversary this month, the New York Post's infamous Page Six published an extensive retrospective on the events that precipitated its unleashing unto the world, with testimonials from in-the-know figures including celebrity gossip blogger Perez Hilton, Jim "Mr. Skin" McBride, adult industry attorney Clyde DeWitt and, of course, Vivid co-chairman Steven Hirsch. Since its debut, a fierce debate has persisted as to whether Kim Kardashian was involved in orchestrating Superstar's dissemination (something its curious angle changes and general sense of dispassion do nothing to dispel), and Page Six's "oral history" certainly points to a determination on her part to achieve fame by whatever means necessary.
