Meet A Trans Person: Eva Paradis

It wasn't long ago that AVN wrote about the (for want of better words) exploding phenomenon of transgendered porn stars, and if anything was clear from our research, it was that A) there are a lot more of them than most porn fans are aware of, and 2) trans porn is a lot more popular than many porn fans think. So much as we cover new starlets and male newcomers in our "Fresh Faces" section, we'll also be doing a series on up-and-coming trans stars—starting with busty blonde Eva Paradis. We Skyped with Eva shortly before AEE, when she was having a Christmas visit with relatives in her birthplace, Italy. But for the past ten years, her base of operations has been London. "I love that city!" she said. "So much happens there! I have a really normal life there, besides my work, for which I come to the U.S. a lot. I love to work out, I love to live a very girly life, like hanging out with my girls, shopping, restaurants, cinema—all the normal things, you know. And then I switch into a different persona for work, and they're like, 'Seriously, is this really you?' I think it's the best way to live life, because you can have two different lives: a sexual life that you can combine with business, which is the best, plus the normal life where you can do all the normal things." Sadly, the Internet Adult Film Database lists just two movies in which she's appeared, plus one web scene, but Paradis says she's been in more than 100 scenes over the past four years that she's been performing on camera, most of them shot in Europe and most for her own website—even though her favorite directors are American. "I love the director of Trans500, Josh Stone, and I love Joey Silvera as well," she said. "He was very good to work with, and I always like the director that my production company hired all the time, from SMC Productions," though she couldn't recall his name when we spoke—which is a bit surprising, since just a few weeks ago, SMC released her showcase feature, Eva Paradis: The Real Taste of Italy. It's the first volume in a projected series, and in it, besides a hot solo scene, Eva works with some on-screen buddies including Antonio Aquilera, Martin Mazza, Wolf Hudson, and Adrian Dimas. As for what she likes most about appearing on screen, she said it's mostly, but not exclusively, the sex. "I love acting a little bit, but then I like to go to the sex to warm me up a little bit," she explained. "But yes, I do like to act a little bit. I don't find the plot in the movie so interesting as the sexual partner, but it's nice to have a story to follow." And who are some of her favorite performers that she's shared the screen with? "Oh, God; I have so many that I like! I actually loved the threesome I did with Foxxy and Jesse Dubai; that was hot. Foxxy and Kimber James, we are all part of the same network. There are many scenes that I loved while I was doing them, especially because I chose the guy. But the scene that I would love to do is one with a trans man, that I haven't been able to do yet, so that's something that I'm planning to do when I come to the U.S.A.; I already have a connection with a few of them. It's one of my fantasies. I do like to work with other transsexuals but I prefer to do a female, and I am looking forward to trying a trans man; I enjoy that much more." Fortunately, Eva arrived in the U.S. before the airports were disrupted by Trump's seven-country travel ban, in plenty of time to network with trans-friendly companies and directors before heading to AEE, where she made fellow trans gal Sunshyne Monroe's booth her base of operations—and because she hoped to win the AVN Fan Award for Best Transsexual Performer. "I was hoping to have a big nomination because I'm a big fan of AVN," she said, slightly disappointed. "I had my first experience at AVN last year and I felt like a queen. I was really hoping, but unfortunately, I happened just to get a nomination from the fans, but it's okay; I still hope to win because for an Italian to win something in the U.S.A. is really big. If you look at my Twitter, I've been asking everybody to fucking vote for me." Sadly for Eva, Aubrey Kate swept this year's trans categories, but the green-eyed starlet is undaunted, since she's been offered plenty of work, as evidenced by Jay Sin's most recent release, TS Playground 25, in which she fucks, and is fucked by, her on-screen partner Spencer. "I loved working with Jay Sin and can’t wait to work with him again," she said. "He has great vision and lets the performers truly be themselves to get the best performances out of them. I know my fans will enjoy this scene because it’s hot and features me on the giving and receiving ends, which is a rarity." Eva also spends a lot of time updating her website with everything from recorded sex scenes to live-cam action, plus photo shoots and videos showing what goes on behind the scenes while the photographer isn't looking. But if there's one thing that's clear, it's that Eva is planning to give her fans a lot of enjoyment in 2017—and hoping for that big Transsexual Performer of the Year nomination for 2018.
