Fresh Faces: Shane Blair

Hometown: Colorado Springs, Colo. | Age: 20 | Height: 5-foot-7 | Weight: 130 pounds | 34B-27-35 | Hair: Brown | Eyes: Hazel Shane Blair has been self-supporting “since I was 16-17,” working as a server in various restaurants in her home state of Colorado. “It was fun.” She wanted to work in the adult industry “since I was in high school, but I never thought about looking into it. When the opportunity came, I was all for it. I wanted to go straight to California right away.” She thinks her Twistys scene with Tyler Nixon is her favorite scene so far. “It just went really smoothly, and they did my makeup and my hair really well, and the pictures turned out beautiful. I haven’t see the full scene, but I watched the trailer and it looked pretty good to me.” Blair says she likes the acting part of performing: “I’ve never done it until porn. And I have a lot more respect for actors who do it regularly, because it’s so hard—memorize a script, think about how you’re going to execute it, your facial expressions, the inflection in your voice. There’s so much that goes into it. It’s hard to learn. But I like it. I like playing a character that I’m not every day. It’s fun.” She went to her first AVN Adult Entertainment Expo in January, and describes it as “really, really busy. Lots of people, lots of energy. So many things going on. I actually found it to be more beneficial to be walking around and be talking to people than being at my agency’s booth, because I found more fans were coming to the booth than directors and producers. I had no idea what to expect, I had no idea what to wear, so I just winged it. It went by really fast.” She hikes “a lot. I’m from Colorado and the mountains are only 20 minutes from my house.” She also enjoys fishing: “I keep a tackle box and a fishing pole in the trunk of my car. I’ve never done deep-sea fishing. Actually I’m afraid of the ocean. I just tan on the beach. Splash around a little bit.” And despite the fact that she hails from Colorado, “I’ve never skied or snowboarded. I hate snow. That’s why I’m here. For the weather.” Looking to the future, Blair has purchased her own Internet domain and a Canon Rebel camera, so “I’m going to start shooting my own content.
