Catch Ron Jeremy Doing Stand-Up Comedy Saturday Night

RIDGECREST, Calif.—Anyone who's known veteran adult star Ron Jeremy for a while knows he is, at heart, a comedian. Such talents have been well displayed in such mainstream films as Orgazmo, The Chase, South Beach Academy, Alex In Wonder, and dozens of others. Now Jeremy is once again taking his stand-up comedy act on the road; specifically, Interstate Route 178, which runs very close to Tommy T's Bar in Ridgecrest, where Ron will be the Master of Ceremonies of Ron Jeremy's XL Comedy Tour. Jeremy will be joined on stage by popular local comedians Dante Rusciolelli (whose company, Golden Artists Entertainment, represents Jeremy) and his fiancee Rebekah Kochan for an evening of comedy Saturday, Nov. 19. Many aren't aware that even before Jeremy, who's got a master's degree in secondary education, got into the adult movie business, he was performing comedy gigs all over eastern New York state. "I did a comedy schtick from the Catskill Mountains," he explained. "I did it when I was a kid, stopped and did theater, taught [school]." Jeremy also claims to have "been in more music videos than anybody on earth," including some by Guns 'n' Roses and Kid Rock. He also appeared in the TV series The Surreal Life, where he made friends with Tammy Faye Bakker, ex-wife of convicted televangelist Jim Bakker, whom Jeremy described as "a living doll." And of course, Jeremy is an adult industry legend, with more than 1,000 original videos to his credit; if one includes compilations, almost 2,500 titles in which he's appeared. Ron Jeremy's XL Comedy Tour will be at Tommy T's Bar, located at 117 E. Ridgecrest Blvd. in Ridgecrest, CA beginning at 8 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19.
