Prop 60 Opponents To Stage Protest This Morning |
The following press release has been received from Californians Against Worker Harassment: Friends, Family, Allies, On October 17th, 2016 we are planning to let OUR voices be heard against Prop 60. Many of you have been holding this date for a while. It’s time. Join us. Let's fight. Let's WIN. The march will form at the LBTQ Center at 1625 Schrader Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90028, at 11:30 a.m., with the march starting at noon, and will follow a route to the offices of Yes On Prop 60. The demonstration will be over at about 2 p.m. "We need all hands on deck," said one of the march's sponsors. "Bring as many trusted advocates as you can. Research talking points at Stop60.com. Share this info ONLY with your trusted allies. There will be press. We do have a permit. This is going to be big. But we need EVERYONE there in order to really make the kind of impact needed. "Please RSVP and send any questions to siouxsie@freespeechcoalition.com "This is our moment to make OUR voices be heard and get the media coverage we need to defeat Prop 60 on November 8. "REMINDER: Our industry is multi-faceted. We don't all agree on everything, but we CAN agree that Prop. 60 will devastate each and every worker in this industry. So please, let's keep any additional issues we may have for another day. On Monday, let us stand united as a community to defeat our common enemy: Michael Weinstein. Please, let's treat each other with respect, the world will be watching." In other Anti Prop 60 news, The Adult Performer Advocacy Committee has created a Change.org petition that the committee Californians Against Worker Harassment encourages everyone to sign, even if you cannot attend on Monday. Also: Sign up for Thunderclap, and get your followers to do so as well, and be part of a synchronized social media push that will go live during the Monday action. Also: Pledge to vote using a new platform called Brigade!
