They were the Beatles, they were the Rolling Stones. When I would be in a room and see Amber Lynn, I got excited. Now, I love all the girls in the industry now, but I don't feel that same sense of, 'Ohmigod, I'm in a room with royalty.' Not that there's some that don't deserve it, but it's just that they come and go so fast now, and they're wonderful and sexy and cute, all in their own way, but I wanted to do something for the '80s, and I think fans that still purchase porn are going to love it, because they're the ones that were into the '80s, so we hope they'll buy it, because otherwise, we just have an expensive hobby. It's great." Ryder spent many days trying to find the perfect actresses to play his iconic porn stars, and he largely succeeded. Ryder has an eye for his era, covering his performers and sets with vibrant colors reminiscent of the '80s post-psychedelicism, and not forgetting details like posters from those early porn days, and even videocassettes "carelessly" left on shelves and nightstands. AVN was present for three scenes, the first a threeway between Zoey, Ashlee and Anthony Rosano.
