Memorial Fund Created to Benefit Mike Kulich’s Son

LOS ANGELES—As industry members heard of the passing of veteran PR man Mike Kulich, several banded together to create a memorial fund for his 5-year-old son Tyler. All donations raised at the GiveForward.com page, minus site fees, will be used for Tyler’s care and education. “Mike’s love for Tyler was never a secret to anyone he met,” Tyler’s mother, Michelle Burr, wrote on the funding site. “… Mike never imagined leaving this Earth so soon, and unfortunately did not have a life insurance policy to provide for Tyler’s care. The money that is raised is going to go into a trust to assist with Tyler’s college education and future medical care.” Tyler, who will turn 6 years old on Oct. 26, was diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia in 2013 when he was 2 years old. In August, Tyler completed a course of maintenance chemotherapy. On Sept. 13—as is tradition for those who complete chemotherapy and radiation treatments—Tyler got to ring the bell to end his treatment.  “Just 11 days later, Tyler lost his loving father,” the fundraising site reads. Mike Kulich, the head of MAK PR, died Sept. 24 at his home in Hollywood, Calif. The Westport, Conn., native got his start in adult as a salesman for IVD at the age of 18. He was 29 when he died. He is also survived by his fiancée, Erin Clark. To donate to the Mike Kulich Memorial Fund for Son Tyler Kulich, visit GiveForward.com.
