LOGO’s ‘Finding Prince Charming’ Already Creating Controversies |
LOS ANGELES—You would think, even in 2016, that the more existence of a gay version of The Bachelor would be scandalous enough for cable TV. You would be wrong. Finding Prince Charming, which premieres tonight on LOGO, is hosted by Lance Bass of NSync fame and features Robert Sepulveda Jr. as the man looking for his “prince.” While Sepulveda is making headlines because he has admitted to working as an escort in the past, the juicier gossip wonders if there isn’t more to it than that. Several websites, including Str8tUpGayPorn.com, have discussed videos of Sepulveda’s alleged porn career. Videos (which have since been removed from various tube sites) reportedly showed Sepulveda stroking himself to orgasm and more. Additionally, published reports claim 10 years ago Sepulveda was a Rentboy who went by the name Vincent Romen and received several flattering reviews for his work and his 10-inch manhood. Since the stories broke, Sepulveda has copped to the escorting career, but denies he ever did porn. “There are stories that I did porn. I never id porn,” the now 33-year-old told People magazine. He added that a video making the rounds on the internet that does in fact feature him was one that was privately shot and sent to an ex-boyfriend who is apparently the one who leaked it. As for his escorting days, the reality TV performer told People, “I saw not other way to support myself so I decided to do it too. I had all those expenses, I just knew that I had to do something. I had no other choice.” It remains to be seen if Sepulveda’s drama and past work will affect the ratings of Finding Prince Charming, but those interested in seeing him on the small screen might to well to at least catch the premiere; if early reviews are to be believed the show is a dismal train wreck.
