Angela White Moves to L.A., Signs With Spiegler Girls |
LOS ANGELES—The next phase of Angela White’s adult film career starts this week as she takes her talents to the San Fernando Valley. The Australian star has officially moved to Los Angeles, signing with Spiegler Girls for representation with plans to shoot for all the major studios in the coming months. “I’m actually equally parts nervous and excited right now because I only have a couple weeks to pack up my entire house and get over there,” White told AVN before she left her native Melbourne. “I’m definitely going to get an apartment and then see what happens in terms of my length of stay. I’m really excited to shoot for other companies and shoot for other directors that challenge me and push my sexual boundaries in new directions. “I’m also looking forward to doing some actual script and acting work.” To say White’s arrival in L.A. has been highly anticipated might be an understatement. She’s already booked through Nov. 5 with directors such as Jules Jordan, Greg Lansky, Manuel Ferrara, Mike Adriano and B. Skow lined up, agent Mark Spiegler confirmed at post time. “I’ve only met her a couple times really quick on the set and she was great, but since I’ve been dealing with her and talking to other people about her, every single last person has said she’s really nice and a great performer, a real professional,” Spiegler told AVN. “She’s been critically acclaimed by every person I’ve ever heard speak her name and I can see why. She’s really professional and really prepared. She plans for the future, not just the next week’s shoots.” A Fleshlight Girl and multiple AVN Award winner, White is also booked for Brazzers, ArchAngel and Girlsway, among others. She’s shot almost exclusively for her own website, AngelaWhite.com, and movies for her studio AGW Entertainment outside of one scene for Greg Lansky’s Blacked.com last year. White said she’s known Spiegler for years—she’s booked several of his girls for her AGW productions that are distributed by Girlfriends Films, including the July release of Angela Loves Women 2. The idea of Spiegler representing her in the U.S. has been in the works since 2015. “His girls always turn up on time and are always well prepared and have a good attitude and always give me a good scene,” White reasoned. “From a director-producer’s point of view, that’s a brand I want to be associated with. Those are things I pride myself on.” She continued, “Spiegler’s been amazing. You can call him at any time of the day or night. I’m already loving the way Spiegler is handling everything. I’m really hoping to be booked for a wide variety of things. “I’d love to do some stuff for Kink, some femdom, things I may not necessarily direct or produce for AngelaWhite.com. But this step in my career is really going to open these possibilities.” White took home three trophies at the 2016 AVN Awards. Her scene with Alexis Texas and Anikka Albrite in Angela 2 won Best All-Girl Group Sex Scene; her first blowbang in Angela 2 received the Best Oral Sex Scene award; and Angela Loves Women won the Best All-Girl Movie honor. A girl/girl only performer for the first eight years of her career, White debuted AGW Entertainment in October 2014, releasing Angela Vol. 1. That title featured her first interracial, first anal, first double penetration, and first all-anal threesome. “I definitely feel like I’m going to evolve further shooting for other companies and directors,” White said. “It will be exciting to see what kind of things they bring out of me. With directing and producing content for my DVD line I’ve been really fortunate to be able to do that and it’s a privilege. But I’m stuck in my own sexual realm with whatever I think is sexy. “Even on webcam, when fans introduce me to their sexual desires and their sexual fantasies that’s exciting for me on a personal level.” White, who was still in high school when she entered the adult industry in 2003, has steadily distinguished herself as Australia's most well-known and accomplished adult performer. In addition to appearing on Australian TV and on the front page of the Sydney Morning Herald, she also received national attention during her bid for the Australian Sex Party Senate seat during the Victorian state election in 2010. White said she can’t wait to be on set with some of L.A.’s top directors. “I’ve been friends with Greg Lansky and I love everything he does,” she said. “His style of eroticism turns me on and it’s beautiful. Obviously, it’s very successful. Jules Jordan and I have had a lot of conversations. I like Jules as a person and I really like the way he directs. Jules has got my first scenes already. And my first scene for another company will be a DP.” White continued, “I’m also really excited to work with some of the big lesbian producers and directors out there. I did eight years of girl/girl and I have my own lesbian DVD. And Girlfriends Films I already have a relationship with them for DVD distribution. I’m really grateful to Girlfriends Films for all their help. “Bree Mills does a lot of amazing things [for Girlsway]. There are so many women I still want to shoot with.” AngelaWhite.com launched in 2012 as “my sexual journal," she added. “It’s my journey through porn, my diary,” White said. “It has all my content from solo to girl/girl and my DVD lines. It’s the mainstay and it represents me and my brand and shows my evolution through porn. All the scenes are numbered, so you can go back and see how I’m growing as a director and producer as well. The choices in outfits and locations have evolved. Certain outfits that I wore in the beginning I would never wear now.” Her plans call for shooting the third volume of her showcase series, Angela, this Fall.
