Hometown: Cleveland | Age: 22 | Height: 5-foot-4 | Weight: 118 pounds | Measurements: 34C-26-34 | Hair: Red | Eyes: Brown LOS ANGELES—Amber Ivy received an initiation into porn like no one that has come before her.  Playing “a whore down in Whoreville” for Hall of Fame producer/director Joanna Angel, the Cleveland native did her first professional sex scene for Burning Angel’s How The Grinch Gaped Christmas.  “I was working at a strip club in Cleveland and Joanna was feature dancing there and I didn’t know anything about Burning Angel,” Ivy recalled of November, 2014. “I was just kind of like, ‘I’m interested in porn, you have a lot of tattoos.’ I really didn’t know anything about Burning Angel. And she was like, ‘I’ll shoot you.’ “And I was like, ‘what, really? I’m not hot enough. I’m not hot enough to be a porn star, like really?’ And she was like ‘I’ll shoot you’ and she had me on a plane the next month.” What she saw on Angel’s set was anything but vanilla. “Her entire body was painted green head to toe. And it took like six hours for them to do all the makeup on her. And I’m like, ‘Is this what porn is?’” Ivy added. “They’re like spraying in her crack and everything.” The day was bizarre. But Ivy, who worked with Xander Corvus, was hooked. “I was like, ‘when can I do it again?’ And then I had a scene the next day with them. And then I went back home and let it sink in,” she said. A biology major at the time, she had to decide whether she wanted to continue her course work or go for it in porn. “It was really a thing I had to wrestle with. Do I want to pursue science or do I want to have fun and be young and that whole thing. So here I am,” Ivy said. The performer, who moved to L.A. on Valentine’s Day after commuting back and forth for occasional scenes, at the time of this interview had shot the majority of her scenes for Burning Angel, but was starting to expand her repertoire. She's now hooked up with Manuel Ferrara and Evil Angel for Raw 26 as well as gotten nasty for FemDom Empire, Diabolic (No Swallowing Allowed 20), LeWood (Little Anal Vixxxens 2), 3rd Degree (Body to Body 4, My Anal Intern), Elegant Angel, Devil’s Film and HoloGirlsVR, among others.  “I would work every day if I could,” said Ivy, who also has naughty content on Clips4Sale and can be regularly seen on live cam.  The 22-year-old has built a following on MyFreeCams as AmberIvyxo, which is also her social media persona; she’s also does shows for SugarInstant. Ivy said she cammed five nights a week in Cleveland in between strip club shifts and started to enjoy “just seeing what the world’s into." “I like that people can have these crazy fetishes you wouldn’t ever think of,” she said. “I like getting dressed up and seeing some of my regular customers. You get to interact and actually talk to people and care about them even though you don’t know how many miles away they are.”  On the porn side Ivy said she “loved” working with Manuel Ferrara, whom she met on the set of HoloGirlsVR when she did a pin-up style scene with Harlow Harrison, and a boy/girl/girl with Xander Corvus. “We were flirting with each other all day and he shot me the next week for Raw 26,” Ivy said of the five-time AVN Male Performer of the Year. “He’s so like, mmm. He’s not like your typical male performer. Just the way he talks to you. He just makes you feel like you’re the only girl in the world.” Ivy didn't waste time going hardcore when she got to L.A. this year, working again for Joanna Angel in a movie called Dysfucktional Family, doing a boy/girl and a d.p. scene in it. She had been waiting to do a d.p. after being booked for one that didn’t happen. “It had been in my mind for a while. It took maybe like six months from that moment. So I had six months to think about it and try it at home and that kind of thing,” Ivy said, noting that she tried at home with a toy. “I’m glad I didn’t just jump into it the first time. I’m glad I waited and got to actually try it and see how it worked. It’s definitely a different feeling. … Yeah I love it. “I worked with Tommy Gunn and Xander Corvus.”  Ivy, who enrolled in college at 16, said she has a passion for biology. “I got two associate’s degrees by the time I was 20. I’d like to finish, I really would…I’m young, I want to do this right now. “I love learning in general. Something I live by is, ‘if you’re not learning, you’re not progressing. If you’re not growing, you’re dying. With biology, everything has an answer. And even as we progress further we’re starting to find some of those answers.” Ivy continued, “It’s one thing that’s a constant for me. I love learning about it. I love practicing it. It’s important in life in general. I found that fiery passion that I have and it’s for science. But I also have that part of me that’s fiery and driven by art and the two always clash.  “So just figuring out the balance for me. I have done traditional art—like painting and drawing and that kind of stuff. So I like to have my fingers in a little bit of everything.” With her still budding porn career, she wants to see how far she can take it. “I’d love to pursue this. And I know it takes a while. I know it’s not immediate even though sometimes I’d love for it to be,” Ivy said. “But yeah I’ve been doing clips and trying to do the whole spectrum of things that girls do to make money. Doing all the things to keep putting your face and your brand out there. Once you go away, once your face is gone it’s onto the next person. I realize that and I like that business part of it.” Ivy calls her assortment of tattoos “my little sticker book.” “Because I’ve gotten every one in a different place. So every time I’ve traveled I’ve been like I have to get a tattoo here.” So far she’s gotten inked in Salem, Mass., Savannah, Ga., Columbus, Ohio, Las Vegas, Hollywood and Cleveland.
