Fresh Faces: Shyla Ryder

Hometown: Mount Shasta, Calif. | Age: 21 | Height: 5-foot-7 | Measurements: 32-26-33 | Hair: Brown/Blonde | Eye color: Hazel Shyla Ryder remembers the go-for-it attitude she took into her first sex scene. “I had never done a threeway before that and had never been with a girl before that either,” Ryder recalls of her first time having sex on camera in a scene for PornPros in Las Vegas. Even though admits she was “really nervous” for that boy/girl/girl, she was ready for the adventure.  “I was like fuck it, just roll with it,” Ryder says. That was six months ago and now the just-turned 21-year-old performer is 30-something scenes into her career. The native of Mount Shasta, Calif., in northern California said she was bored of the small-town lifestyle and wanted to try the big city.  “I have family over here [in L.A.], so I visited here a lot when I was in high school during the summer. I’d come over and visit my cousins and my brother over here,” Ryder says. “I definitely liked this area a lot better. There’s so much more stuff to do. I wanted to come to school over here and start a job and get away from the small-town thing. I needed a change.” She worked at Corner Bakery and as a waitress Red Robin for a couple months before she took the porn plunge; a friend introduced her to The VIP Connect owner Shy Love, who became her agent. “I was like I’ll just come here and see if I like it or not,” Ryder said. “I like it a lot. It’s super fun. Chill. As long as you have a really good attitude.”  Ryder’s credits already include Teen Fidelity (Daddy I’m Bored), Team Skeet (Staying Pure for Her Boyfriend), Evil Angel (Anal Newbies 4) and Girlfriends Films, which at press time had shot her on four different occasions—for Cheer Squad Sleepovers 16, Lesbian Triangles 33, Lesbians Psychodramas 21 and Women Seeking Women 124.  “I like shooting with them, they’re super fun,” Ryder says. She also appears in Wicked Pictures’ newly released Bad Girls Boot Camp in a scene with Tony Martinez. “All the stuff I do is like softer stuff,” Ryder says. “I haven’t done any bondage scenes. I want to keep with this a little bit longer until I get more comfortable… It’s really easy to do girl/girl scenes because it’s a lot shorter. I think it’s easy.  “With the boy/girl scenes I’ve been doing really crazy positions sometimes. So it’s interesting.” Ryder lost her virginity when she was 18, saying “I waited.” A former high school basketball player whose team finished among the top 30 in the state when she was a senior, Ryder said her favorite pro franchises are the Chicago Bulls and Miami Heat. “I could play all the positions. I was mainly up front as like the wing, the right front wing,” she says. She says for now she’s going to see where porn takes her, but that if Donald Trump gets elected president she’d consider living in another country. “I’m like peace-ing out,” she says. Meanwhile, she’s taking online classes at Moorpark College in pursuit of a degree in business. “I want to go into real estate,” she says.
