Lana Rhoades Discusses Porn Debut |
LOS ANGELES—Lana Rhoades remembers when adult entertainment first grabbed her attention. “My first inspiration to do stuff like this was when I watched ‘The Girls Next Door’ over Christmas break one time, and I watched all the episodes,” Rhoades recalls. “I always wanted to do Playboy, but nowadays glamour modeling and magazine stuff isn’t that big of a thing, so you kind of have to go all the way now, which I’m fine with. Because I’ve always been a really sexual person.” It turns out the 19-year-old native of Chicago is good at going all the way. So much so that she’s already booked until October. “Right now as of today, her first open day is Oct. 14,” agent Mark Spiegler told AVN Friday. Rhoades officially started her porn career in April, doing her first boy/girl scene for FTV Girls in Phoenix before landing in L.A., where she did scenes for Evil Angel’s Mike Adriano, Blacked.com’s Greg Lansky and the reigning AVN Male Performer of the Year Mick Blue in her first two weeks. The bookings came early and often after that as Rhoades has since performed in more than two dozen sex scenes for some of the industry’s top studios, many of which have already called to book her again. “Everybody seems to really like her,” Spiegler said. “Everybody is shooting her and reshooting her and that’s the important thing.” Even though Rhoades is wasting no time making the rounds, so far only four of her scenes have been released: a solo with FTV she did before coming to L.A.; a Virtual Reality encounter with Chad White for Naughty America VR; her Blacked.com debut with Flash Brown; and a newly unveiled Erotica X scene with James Deen that was directed by James Avalon. “Lana Rhoades was wonderful to work with,” the AVN Hall of Famer Avalon told AVN. “She’s incredibly beautiful, but also surprisingly humble with an adorable touch of sarcasm, which I found very delightful. I very much enjoyed her company.” The vignette-style scene titled “Imagine” debuted today on the EroticaX.com site. “She was very excited to perform, and had so much pent-up sexual energy that when I just let her do her thing, she went wild,” Avalon continued. “I didn’t try controlling or telling her what to do, and the result, in my ‘un-biased’ opinion, was an incredibly hot, slightly kinky sex scene. “She’s one of the best I’ve ever shot. She reminded me of a little girl in a candy store, only it wasn’t candy she craved. I think she’ll quickly become the next No. 1 porn star, adding stellar beauty with raw sexual energy. That’s why I already booked her in two more projects coming up.” Deen seemed equally pleased, posting on his blog in an entry called “Fucking Lana Rhoades” that “Lana is a super babe and is going to go as far as she wants in this industry.” A former Hooters waitress and stripper in Chicago who says she loves baking cupcakes, Rhoades had never been to L.A. before coming to do porn. And she did her homework before joining Spiegler Girls. “I did a lot of research. I looked up licensed agents and he was on the list and obviously after you read about him he seems like the best choice. So I emailed him back in November but I ended up not coming,” Rhoades said. “But then me and my boyfriend broke up. We dated for three years. … I’ve only had sex with one guy before porn, so it was kind of hard to leave the boyfriend to come and do this. But then we finally broke up so I was like, I’m going to go do what I want now. And I just came out two weeks after talking to [Spiegler] this time.” Rhoades admitted she never considered everything that goes into shooting a movie before she saw first hand what it takes. “Some scenes you’re not going to love and some scenes you’re going to go home smiling because you loved it so much,” she said. One such scene was her first in L.A. with Mike Adriano. “The reason why I liked it is me and him both love asses,” Rhoades confessed, adding that she now has “a little crush” on the French performer/director. “And so he ate my ass and I ate his ass. And I love that. I had a lot of fun with that one." She also enjoyed working for the 2016 Director of the Year Greg Lansky for Blacked.com, the 2016 AVN Award-winning Best Membership Website. “It was different because of the acting stuff. I like acting,” Rhoades said. “I liked all the pictures that they take. I’m actually a fan of Greg Lansky’s work and how he takes photos of the girls. I think they’re really pretty. “I actually told Mark I want to do Blacked. I’m not ready to do Tushy though. But whenever I do anal I want to do it for Tushy. Flash Brown was really cool. His dick was really big, but I liked it.” Rhoades added, “That was one thing I wanted to experience coming into porn—was doing interracial. That’s why I started with it. So I have that off my checklist now.” She made enough of an impression that Lansky saved some new dates for her on his hectic summer schedule. “Lana is definitely on her way to the top,” Lansky told AVN. “She has a very promising future in the adult industry and we are excited to collaborate more and more with her on exclusive projects. Our members are very fond of her and her scene with Flash is rating really well.” Rhoades grew up in the suburbs of Chicago, “like more out in the country,” and moved to the city by herself at 17 to work at Hooters. “So I graduated high school early at 17,” she said, noting that cheerleading and gymnastics occupied her time in high school. “As soon as I turned 18 I quit Hooters and I graduated to exotic dancing.” The blue-eyed starlet said she loves dancing on the stage, becoming one of her club’s feature entertainers. “And right before I came [to L.A.] they also took pictures of me for some big promotions. So I’m going to be one of the faces of their company,” Rhoades said. “And then I was on the TV show ‘Empire’ playing a stripper. But I have my own dancing scene, just a clip of me.” Rhoades appeared in the Season 2 episode that aired on April 6 called “A Rose by Any Other Name” for the Fox TV series that centers on the drama surrounding a hip-hop music and entertainment company called Empire Entertainment. “The owner of the club that I work at, it’s actually his son that really wanted me to get into modeling. And so they happened to own the house that they film ‘Empire’ at [in Chicago],” Rhoades revealed. “So they got me on it.” Rhoades said she planned to relocate to L.A. “I’m only going back to get my dog because I didn’t bring her with me this time,” she said, referring to her blue-eyed Chihuahua. She said she also has an interest in nursing and would like to attend college in the future. “I want to be a nurse specializing in cosmetic injections,” Rhoades said. In the meantime Rhoades already has a few surprises in store for fans who are beginning to see her work. Several studios at press time were in post-production with Rhoades scenes, including Jules Jordan Video, Girlfriends Films, Manuel Ferrara Productions, ArchAngel, BangBros, New Sensations, Penthouse Video, Amateur Allure and Brazzers, which shot her last month with contract stud Keiran Lee. “I honestly don't know where to start with Lana,” Lee, whose member is insured by Lloyd’s of London for $1 million, told AVN. “I had seen the buzz on Twitter about the new Spiegler Girl and thought she looked great. But with years of experience I know that sometimes the newest, youngest, prettiest, hottest girls don't always do the greatest of scenes. “Well Lana didn't read the script for that bit. She totally blew me away in more ways than one. It was one of my favorite scenes I have shot during my whole career and it was all down to the sexual energy of Lana. “If this girl doesn't win an award at this year’s AVN Awards Show I'll be really surprised.” Indeed, Rhoades’ porn dance card is full with upcoming scenes with Hustler Video, Teen Fidelity, Hard X and Michael Ninn, among others, in the coming months. She’ll also be featured in a Playboy Plus photo set that was shot last month by Holly Randall. “If she keeps her head on straight she could be the queen of porn,” Spiegler said. “She performs really well. … As long as she keeps her head on straight there’s no limits.” Photo by Jeff Koga.
