Wicked Pictures, Axel Braun at Work on 'Suicide Squad XXX'

LOS ANGELES—Though some in the Twittersphere have opined that Warner Bros.' upcoming movie Suicide Squad is a hot mess, we're betting that director Axel Braun's version—just announced today by Wicked Pictures—will be just plain hot. Braun's production of Suicide Squad XXX: An Axel Braun Parody, which is officially under way, will be the fourth superhero parody for the AVN Award-winning Wicked Comix imprint. “I’ve been literally itching to make this movie since the mainstream one was put in development at Warner Bros. in 2009!” Braun effused. “It’s a huge project and another massive undertaking for me, but I’ve got a terrific script, a killer cast and some insane costumes, and I can’t wait to put a sexy spin on these awesome characters!” While full cast details haven’t been announced yet, Braun happily revealed that one choice was a no-brainer. Harley Quinn will once again be brought to life by Kleio Velentien, who took home Best Supporting Actress honors at the AVN Awards earlier this year for her portrayal of the same character in Braun’s 2015 epic, Batman v Superman XXX, which itself picked up four more AVN Awards the same night. “I am so excited, and extremely honored to play Harley again,” Valentien said. “Axel’s mastery of shooting parodies brought me a ton of positive press, including my very first AVN Award! Both my agents at Nexxxt Level and I are preparing to make this my best performance ever, and I look forward to seeing what Axel has in store for the character in Suicide Squad XXX.”Another final casting decision is that sword-wielding Japanese superheroine Katana will be played by Wicked Girl Asa Akira, in her XXX debut as a comic book character. “As an Asian female, you can imagine how thrilled I am that there is finally a role for me in a superhero movie!” Akira crowed. ”I tried on the Katana mask a while ago, and I’ve been doing my research on her. … I am so ready to start production on this movie!” ABP contract superstar Riley Steele is also reprising a role. She'll again portray Enchantress, the witchy character she recently originated for Braun’s upcoming Supergirl XXX. “This is crazy!” Steele said. “It’s like Axel likes to try and top himself on a daily basis, and actually succeeds! The script is seriously, like, the best thing I’ve ever read, with all these characters and elements coalescing into such an organic, sexy, badass storyline, and I love that I get to be Enchantress again. It’s gonna be absolutely epic, and I’m thrilled to be a part of it!”  Though many casting decisions remain, one can count on Braun applying his love of comic lore and notorious perfectionism to the project, which will be replete with special effects and imaginative production design. Suicide Squad XXX: An Axel Braun Parody will be out on DVD on August 5, the same day as its mainstream counterpart starring Jared Leto, Margot Robbie, Will Smith and Cara Delevigne.
