Gia Nova Named Celebrity Ambassador for âScares That Careâ |
HAMPSTEAD, MD—Gia Nova has been named celebrity ambassador for Scares That Care. The award-winning burlesque beauty will be promoting the non-profit organization, which fights the real monsters of childhood illness, by helping families cope with the financial burden. “I’m thrilled to be involved with Scares That Care. They are a 100% volunteer organization, and do wonderful work providing money, toys, and help to families all over the country,” said Gia. “They do so much good, and it makes me feel good to be a part of changing lives for the better. I hope my fans join me in making the world a less scary place, for those fighting for their lives.” Each year, Scares That Care raises a minimum of $30,000; every single cent is then donated to three families who need help. They also are the official charity of horror conventions Monsterpalooza, Mad Monster, and Rock Shock. The organization also promotes two other programs: Scares For Pairs, where women fighting breast cancer receive assistance, and I Helped Kane, a partnership with horror icon Kane Hodder, to provide assistance to children who have suffered serious burn injuries.
