Fresh Faces: Edyn Blair

Age: 27 | Height: 5-foot-5 | Measurements: 34C-27-40 | Hair: Red | Eyes: Hazel Ask performers when they got started and you often get a vague month and year, but Edyn Blair will tell you she started “January 21st, 2014” without hesitation. “When I was 25 I decided to do it, and I moved across the country, and got thrown in.” She drove cross-country from North Carolina in a four-day marathon, alone, “All the way across. It was crazy.” She had been a clothing model as a teen, then moved on to implied nudity at 22. “I had always been interested in porn, but I was too shy to really do it. Then I saw a documentary called Naked Ambition about a photographer documenting the AVNs. It was the first positive porn documentary I had ever seen, and it blew me away. I decided, ‘I have to be part of this’ and I decided to do it.” She has been to AVN Expo: “I love it. I love the crazy costumes people wear, and I love all the fans that come, and how great they are. I feel like a rock star when I’m there. You can’t get any better.” She has meaningful tattoos: “I dare you” on her thumb commemorates a cousin who died at 19 and whose death "lit the fire under my ass." At the time she was unhappy, and she said to herself, "I think this is going to make me happy. Life is too short. Too short and too unpredictable. You have to take those chances.” A tattoo on her back declares carpe noctem, “Because the day isn’t the only thing that holds opportunity.” And chaos in a cage below her navel came “from a poem I wrote in high school: There are forces in this world/Unbeknownst to men/That save the sinners/And break the righteous/And in doing so/Tame chaos in a cage.” That sentiment is surrounded by a number of small bats because “They’re my favorite animal. They’re the only mammal that’s free, because they can fly. And of all the creatures in the world, whenever it’s darkest, they can always find their way.” Blair says her best performances have been for Gingerracial from 3rd Degree (“I do a lot of interracial.”), Bush League 3 and 4 for Devil’s Films, and Lesbo Pool Party 5 for 3rd Degree. She also has some acting performances in upcoming features from Wicked Pictures. “I love acting. I did theater when I was in high school. A lot of times on set, I never have my script on me because I know it already. I grab my props and do my scene right away.
