FilmSchoolRejects.com Previews Braun's 'Peter Pan XXX'

CYBERSPACE—The wryly named FilmSchoolRejects.com, which prides itself on trenchant cultural commentary, has taken note of the fact that porn parodies have gotten better. While this was admittedly more of a news bulletin back a few years ago—when such movies as Will Ryder's Not the Brady Bunch XXX, Axel Braun's This Ain't Star Trek XXX and Lee Roy Myers' The Big Lebowski: A XXX Parody first began hitting the streets—it's still nice that the FilmSchoolRejects crew recognizes quality. In fact, editor Neil Miller posted a nice nod to Braun along with the trailer for the newest movie in the perfectionistic director's carefully crafted Wicked Fairy Tales line: Peter Pan XXX: An Axel Braun Parody. While commenting on "the inherent weirdness to making a porn version of Peter Pan, especially because much of the movie involves a world in which children live and never grow up," Miller also noted that "Braun’s latest also appears to be his most cinematic." Miller also mentioned that the talented performer in the title role, Ryan Ryder, had a career in musical theater in the United Kingdom under his real name, Craig Chalmers. Miller pointed out, "He was scheduled to play Prince Charming in the musical Cinderella when the producers found out he had done a porn scene and fired him." Mainstream's loss is porn's gain.
