Interview: Anna Bell Peaks Does the Math

For most new starlets entering the adult industry, going to the very top and winning awards is usually their goal. But Anna Bell Peaks is not your average new starlet. While the 33-year-old former CPA turned cam girl turned porn performer also dreams of going to the very top of the industry and winning awards, one of her more ambitious goals is to serve as representative for the adult industry she has come to love. “If you want a spokeswoman for the porn industry, and you want it to be somebody who has nothing but positive things to say about it, then that’s me.” Peaks’ original career goal was to be an accountant, a dream job Peaks says she was good at and would still be doing today but the allure of doing porn and the chance to earn more money than she had been making was too good to pass up. With her business background, the numbers told Peaks porn was way more financially lucrative. Still, Peaks hopes her mathematical talents can be used as an asset in the industry one day. “When I’m old and ugly and they can longer use me I’ll probably be a CPA, probably a CPA for porn stars because they need a lot of help with their taxes. I really did love that job. I’m just a very sexual person.” Since entering the industry this past January, Peaks has already established a strong fan base both in the cam world, specifically My Free Cams, where Peaks continue to cam from her home in the East Coast, and the adult world. She earned respect from critics by taking on Lexington Steele in her debut scene in Evil Angel’s Tattooed Vixens. To date, Peaks has shot for a variety of powerhouse studios including Brazzers, Naughty America, New Sensations, Hustler, Bang Bros. and Burning Angel. Describing herself as a people pleaser, Peaks feels that has been a big part of her success in camming and porn as well as her unmatched work ethic. “I’m driven, I’m a hard worker, and I love what I do. I am a very goal oriented individual. That’s how I became what I was in the accounting world; it’s what I’m going to do in the porn world. I don’t want to be second in awards. I want to win Best New Starlet at the AVN’s. I’ll do everything I can to get in front of the right people, meet the right people and do the best scenes that I can and just put my name out there so that they see me and hear my name a lot. I don’t want to be second. [Laughs] While Peaks entered the adult industry later in life than most she has no regrets about her decision do it. “I love every second of the industry, every person in it.
