Pornhub Censors Anti-Censorship Porn 'Ban This Sick Filth!'

SAN FRANCISCO—Ban This Sick Filth!, the porn TROUBLEfilms made as a response to obscenity laws in the US and UK, has had its trailer removed from Pornhub for being too extreme. The trailer features several acts that have remained under scrutiny by the porn industry since the Cambria list for potential censorship risk: fisting, watersports, menstrual blood, religious themes, and caning to the point of marks. A compilation of films and interviews on porn censorship and its impact in the UK and USA, Ban This Sick Filth! is a political and sexual revolution. Originally planned to highlight censored acts in the UK, this film was also denied DVD distribution in the U.S. because of some of the consensual acts depicted. "I'm not surprised," said head of production Kitty Stryker about the removal. "But I do find it interesting and kind of hilarious what gets censored and what's deemed acceptable, along with who gets to make this content and get away with it and who doesn't. I think this opens up a really important discussion about obscenity and how fear still impacts what is represented in porn, especially when distributed for free via hub sites."  The trailer can still be viewed at TROUBLEfilms.com.
