Londonâs âSunday Timesâ Ranks Lovehoney 9th Fastest Growing International Company |
BATH, England—The Sunday Times, in its sixth annual Sunday Times HSBC International Track 200, has listed adult retailer Lovehoney at the No. 9 fastest growing international company. The Sunday Times HSBC International Track 200 ranks Britain's mid-market private companies with the fastest-growing international sales, measured over the last two years of available accounts. Lovehoney is ranked at No. 9 nationally and No. 1 for the South West region after overseas sales grew 146 percent to £5.1m in 2014. The Bath-based business has launched US, Australian, French, German and EU websites over the last two years and has benefited from the popularity of Fifty Shades of Grey, of which it holds the worldwide license for pleasure products. Lovehoney co-founder Neal Slateford said: "This announcement is very exciting for us and we're thrilled to have ranked so highly. Seeing Lovehoney grow so quickly overseas has been incredible and a very exciting journey for everyone involved. The last couple of years have been fundamental in solidifying Lovehoney as a household name both in the adult industry and the mainstream alike." Companies featured in last year's league table include the likes of Cath Kidston, Hunter, Specsavers and LUSH. Amanda Murphy, U.K. head of corporate banking at HSBC, commented: "The Sunday Times HSBC International Track 200 is a great reflection of the value of building connections overseas. The world is getting smaller, and international business relationships are easier to build, providing ambitious businesses with many more opportunities to grow. I'm delighted to see so many great British mid-sized firms making such a strong impression on the world stage." The full league table is published in an eight-page supplement with the business section of The Sunday Times on 12th July, both in print and on the digital edition, and on www.fasttrack.co.uk.
