Carly Fiorina: Get a Handle on Fed Porn Watching to Fix Economy

LOS ANGELES—You gotta love Republican prescriptions for fixing the economy, especially when they come from some of the GOP's leading lights, like former Hewlett Packard CEO Carly Fiorina, who these days makes regular appearances on the Sunday talk shows as the "conservative" panelist, while she mulls another run for the White House. Yesterday, on Fox News Sunday with Chris Wallace, she indicated that the likelihood of her running in 2016 is now “higher than 90 percent." In that vein, Fiorina explained what she would do to amend the current administration's catastrophic economic policies, which for the first time in history, she claimed, are “destroying more businesses than we are creating." According to Raw Story, she then offered a "two prong plan for boosting the economy by reforming the federal government." In order to counter "a vast and unaccountable bureaucracy" that has "been growing for 40 years," she proposed, “One, zero-based budgeting so we actually know where money is being spent, and we’re talking about the whole budget and not just the rate of increase. "And two, pay for performance in our civil service," she continued. "We have — how many Inspector General reports do we need to read that say, you know, you can watch porn all day long and get paid exactly the same way as somebody who’s trying to do their job?” So there you have it. As she gears up to run for the most powerful political office in the world, this inveterate believer in trickle-down economics, a former CEO and super capitalist who ran one of the nation's largest corporations, points to federal porn watching as one of keystones of her economic recovery plan. As relatively few and far between as those porn-watching situations actually are, it's quite possible that the issue of feds gone wild will become a regular talking point for other GOP presidential candidates as well. I might do the same if I was a member of the political party that almost brought about a Second Great Depression, leaving it to the current president to dig the country out.
