Live and in the Flesh: Cam Girls Meet the Fans at AEE

The world of adult pleasure is constantly evolving, and given the plethora of cam girls at AEE, it shows no signs of letting up. As anyone in the adult industry knows, static DVDs provide one source of stimulation while camming is the essence of DIY technology—opening the door for any woman who wants to show off her sexual skills, no matter where on the spectrum she may be. Cam girls, the ones who give instant satisfaction for anyone with internet access and enough credits to share with them, have provided many hours of private pleasure to (mostly) men no matter where they are. The girls converse via their webcams and respond to what the customers want, also in the privacy of wherever they are doing it, most often in their own homes. The popularity of cam girls was evident at AEE, with many of the girls in booths and actively online during the duration of the show. With their computer screens facing inward toward their booths, they could not only meet their fans in person (both current and potential) but also interact online at the same time with anyone on their feed. Webcam provider FreeWebCams.com had a huge booth with several girls bobbing around, swapping stories, jumping online, and having a good time. FreeWebCams' Eric mentioned how "the growing technology is getting better, making for a better user experience. It used to be expensive technology but now pretty much anyone can do it." One of the benefits he claims is that "camming is real, not fantasy. It's not like a dating site where someone can use fake pictures with a fake profile. With camming, you get the real girl with the real experience." The company is growing by 50 percent a month, averaging 150 new subscribers a day. Eric continued, "Along with that, we also get a lot of new girls joining our site. They have a friend who does it and they're making money without even having to leave the home. It's safe for them, too, which I think is a big part of the appeal. The girls can make a lot of money camming and many of them are very, very good at it. Camming has a strip club-like appeal—it's safe and the girls don't have to have intimate contact with the customer. The only difference is that they don't even need to leave their house!" Many of the cam girls interviewed at the show commented on what a great experience AEE is as a way to promote their social media and, of course, web presence. During the show, many of the girls cammed from their hotel rooms, often having scenes with other cam girls from around the country in for AEE. Ashley MILF from MyFreeCams.com has been camming since January 1 and loves it. Yes, it had been only about three weeks. "I love it and it's so much fun! I get to meet the most amazing guys! I'm a friendly person and they can pick up on that. I also like to use toys and can get pretty wild with them! I also can broadcast what I'm doing to several guys at the same time or do a private Skype date, which is always really good for me. I had never thought about doing it before and am so happy I am." Also from MyFreeCams.com, Georgia James started camming after seeing a documentary on Netflix. It was then that she knew she wanted to do it, too. "So many guys like to see me masturbate, especially with other cam girls. And it's nice to have the opportunity to meet new fans here at AEE." Several other cam companies were well represented at AEE, including the megasite Jasmin.com, veteran player Flirt4Free, ModelCentro (which helps models build their own sites), XcitingVideoChat.com and Chaturbate. Anya 96 has been with Chaturbate for two years and loved being able to take pix and sign autographs at AEE. "There's so many people here! And the vibe is great—no weird vibes and nobody creepy. It feels really safe and I'm really happy to be here." Anya 96 continued, "I love the freedom of being sexual while camming. It really made me realize my own sexuality because, believe it or not, I'm actually super shy but being on cam gets me out to meet people and talking more. I used to be a stripper but this is so much better because I can stay at home to do it." As technology evolves one thing that remains constant: Performers continue to come to Vegas in January. Either online or streaming, DVD or cams, they agree AEE is the place to be.
