New Sensations/Digital Sin Rack Up 48 Noms for 2015 AVN Awards

CHATSWORTH, Calif.—New Sensations and Digital Sin received a combined 48 nominations for the 2015 AVN Awards. The Romance Series scripted feature Second Chances and Digital Sin's new Tabu Tales imprint lead the nominations with seven apiece, the latter dominating AVN's newly created Best Taboo Relations category. Jacky St. James and Eddie Powell are nominated for Best Director - Feature for their collaboration on Second Chances and individually for Director of the Year. As it does every year, New Sensations/Digital Sin produced a wide range of quality adult films, from plot-driven features and vignettes to all-sex releases and niche oriented titles, masterfully exploring provocative themes such as family-taboo and hotwifing. The studio's diversity and creativity is reflected in its nominations. St. James reunited with Powell this year for the romantic dramedy Second Chances, their first collaboration since The Submission of Emma Marx. In addition to the duo's Best Director - Feature nomination, the film is up for Best Romance Movie, Best Screenplay (St. James), Best Editing, and a number of acting noms, including Best Actress for Carter Cruise. St. James' The Sexual Liberation of Anna Lee for New Sensations Erotic Stories shingle is also nominated in the categories for Best Romance Movie and Best Actress (Maddy O'Reilly). In addition, St. James is nominated for Best Director - Non-Feature for Keep It In the Family, one of three titles nommed from the Tabu Tales series for Best Taboo Relations; the other two being Our Father and A Mother Daughter Thing. "I’m ecstatic to discover that AVN created a special Best Taboo Relations category this year, especially given the popularity of the genre this year," St. James said. "Some of my best work has been in Digital Sin’s Tabu Tales this year and I was overjoyed that several of those films received nominations." Powell's Laws of Love for New Sensations' Romance Series earned big noms in the categories for Best Romance Movie, Best Screenplay (Brownie Garcia), Best Cinematography, and Best Actress Romi Rain. Powell's work for Digital Sin is also heavily represented and includes noms for My Sister's Tight Pussy (Best Taboo Relations), This Is My First ...
