Sasha Pain to Donate Sex Vid Proceeds to Ferguson Protesters |
SAN FRANCISCO—Sasha Pain is a Bay Area webcammer who late last week drove 34 hours nonstop to Ferguson, Mo., the site of the police assassination of black teenager Michael Brown—and along with her regular cam shows, shot in an undisclosed location in Ferguson. She's been posting the video she recorded of the situation there to her cam site. Why? Because, she said, "I want people who follow me to have to see it." And whatever profits she makes from the videos, she'll be donating to the protesters there. "Everything that I make while I'm here that I don't need to feed myself, the people I'm with and over my bills is going toward buying food for protesters and gas masks," Pain told the Riverfront Times' Lindsay Toler. "They're going to do what they're going to do. That's not my place to be a part of it unless they ask me to be. But I will do what I can to make it less painful, more safe and easier on them because that's what I'm here for." "I brought some jewelry and shit to pawn if I need to, so whatever it fucking takes," she added. "I'll get rid of fucking everything I have. I don't give a fuck. I'm going to be here to try to help—keyword 'help.' I am just here to do whatever I can." Pain's work is all over the tube sites, and while much of that may be pirated, that's not something she's concerned about, at least in this instance. "People in the Bay Area—that I know, at least—didn't really care," she stated. "They didn't view it as their problem. It's an American problem. It's a world problem. It happens every day all over the world, and people need to pay more attention to it." "The fact that the cops are out here wearing 'I Am Darren Wilson' bracelets and shit, like, how can you fucking disrespect somebody's mother like that after you murdered their child?" she charged. "Even on the far-off chance in fucking La-La Land that [the shooting] was justified, you don't do that to somebody's parents or their family. You don't disrespect the dead like that." Sasha, who tweets under the name "CapnThundrCunt," brought her boyfriend and her videographer, Jessica Hollie, along on the trip, part of whose purpose is to "fight against ignorance and injustice," though Pain is wary that her good looks and sexually open attitude may distract observers from her purpose. "I don't want to steal the spotlight," she explained. "I'm here as an upset mother, not a sex worker." Part of Pain's mission is to support the movement to get Wilson indicted and put on trial, something which the local district attorney seems reticent about doing. She'd also like to see the creation of a civilian review board to oversee the cops, hopefully to prevent situations like the Brown shooting from happening again. In fact, the night she arrived, two police officers took fire, one in Ferguson and one in nearby St. Louis, though neither was seriously injured—but the cops have shown they're better at dishing it out than taking it. "The police are just so disrespectful," Pain told Toler. "The people have been so peaceful in everything that I've seen myself and in videos, and to watch them fucking get beat on and treated like fucking animals—they're getting hog tied and carried off and choked out, and it's just like, 'Fuck!'" Those who'd like to see Pain's Ferguson video diary (not to mention her hot cam shows) can find them here.
