Alexa Aimes, Dillion Harper Cameo in Indie Short, 'Kimi Kabuki' |
LOS ANGELES—Alexa Aimes (pictured, right) and Dillion Harper are featured cameos in an upcoming independent short film, Kimi Kabuki, in which the porn stars are prominently showcased as part of a ‘porn convention’ scene that achieves its authentic look via set design assistance by Exxxotica. "I would like to say a big thank you to all the crew for being amazing and giving me the experience of such a great mainstream set,” said Dillion. “I would do it over and over again!"Alexa added, “It was amazing to see the level of detail that was put into this film. Stepping on set was like stepping directly into a real Exxxotica! I'm really excited and thankful to be apart of this project and can't wait to see the final project.” Kimi Kabuki director Yoko Okumura added, “Alexa was fabulous. She absolutely nailed it and really sold the scene. She had an unstoppable energy and flirtatious demeanor that was exactly what we needed for the story. Alexa also gave us a lot of hilarious improv moments as well and she's been one of the editor's favorite scenes to cut.” Of Dillion, he commented “Dillion was so sweet, and her presence really elevated the film's production value! She was such a gem to have on set – such a trooper, and always gracious.” Kimi Kabuki is the story of communication between a wife and her husband. When Madeline discovers her husband is attending an adult industry convention without her knowledge, she follows him to confront him about his deceit. When Madeline's plans for a sincere conversation go terribly awry, a gentle act of kindness from a porn performer leads her to find solace in the last place she could have expected. The story, less about the negative connotations of the porn industry, broaches a topic much more serious—about open communication, understanding and compassion between husband and wife. “Alexa and Dillion were both fantastic," said Kimi Kabuki producer Laura Noxon. "We’re so glad they were so excited to be a part of our project. Yoko and I are looking forward to spending the next few months in post, and the film will be completed in October." Okumura added, “Overall, I feel so grateful Dillion and Alexa gave us their time; they really elevated our film to the next level of authenticity.” For more information about Kimi Kabuki, visit here.
