GF Exec. Ass't Dory Picks Stand Up to Cancer as May Charity |
VALENCIA, Calif.—Girlfriends Films’ May charity is Stand Up to Cancer, as selected by Executive Assistant Dory. The well-known charity, formed by the Entertainment Industry Foundation and championed by many Hollywood celebrities, will receive a check for $1,000 on behalf of Dory. “Cancer has affected me and my family’s lives, in a huge way,” revealed Dory. “In the past three years, I have had four family members die from different types of cancer. My cousin is thankfully in remission, though it has already come back twice.” “It has been an extremely sad and difficult time—we barely have time to mourn one loss before someone else is diagnosed,” said Dory. “This is why I’m grateful to Girlfriends Films for the opportunity to contribute towards finding a cure. Stand Up to Cancer is a great charity, helping to make a difference.” Stand Up To Cancer (SU2C) is a groundbreaking initiative created to accelerate innovative cancer research that will get new therapies to patients quickly and save lives now. SU2C is bringing together the best and the brightest researchers and encouraging collaboration instead of competition among the entire cancer community. By galvanizing the entertainment industry, SU2C creates awareness and builds broad public support for this effort. “We are proud to honor Dory’s choice for the May charity,” said Girlfriends Films President Moose. “I hope others in the adult entertainment industry, as well as our fan base, will help us stand up to cancer.” To join Dory and Girlfriends Films in supporting Stand Up to Cancer, click here.
