Custom Video Portal Customs4U.com Makes Waves at AEE |
LONDON—Custom video portal Customs4U.com announces an extremely successful showing at the 2014 Adult Entertainment Expo, held inside Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Jan. 15-18. Many media outlets featured the website, which is the premiere portal for customers to submit requests for personalized videos of their direction—using their chosen scenario and favorite performer—all in a variety of fetishes and scripts. The Customs4U.com booth at AEE was continually packed with performers and customers interested in learning more about the personalized video platform. Mainstream and adult industry media kept the company owners busy as well, with a full interview schedule over the four-day convention. A-list performers from LA Direct Models who recently signed a white-label collaboration with Customs4U.com—including Alexis Texas, Teagan Presley, and Allie Haze, as well as adult stars Juelz Ventura, Teal Conrad, and Gigi Allen—were on hand to meet and greet fans and demonstrate the ins and outs of the custom video site. Superstar Sophie Dee was also at the booth speaking to fans and media. “Signing at Customs4U’s booth was such a great time,” said Allie Haze. “The fans are so excited to finally have a user-friendly site to request custom videos from their favorite girls, and I am so happy to be a part of it!” Adam & Eve contract star Teagan Presley adds, “It was amazing meeting all the fans at Customs4U’s booth, and even cooler introducing fans to this unique site that will help them fulfill their fantasies and desires. Customs4U rocks!” Mainstream media outlet Huffington Post noted the importance of the launch of Customs4U.com as a means for performers and studios to take itself out of a no-longer recession-proof industry. “[Customs4U.com founder and CEO Tim Stokely’s] new website is one of the many fresh ideas to hit [AEE] … [bringing] a flat-lining industry back to life … it’s also a one-of-a-kind product,” wrote editor Adam Campbell. Campbell adds in a video segment on HuffPostLive, “The [DVD] companies aren’t making money off of the videos any more … with [Customs4U] it lets the porn stars name their own price.” Chris Morris of CNBC noted the importance of content ownership by performers, compounded by increased consumer requests for personalized videos from their favorite stars. “Though Customs4U is new,” writes Morris, “it’s proving a good source of income for some stars … Performers set the rates, which generally range from $250 to $750, and can make the videos on their smartphones. [Teal] Conrad, for example, said she got an order for four videos in a single Tweet.” Conrad told Morris, “This industry isn’t about shooting [films] any more … now, the business is about being personal.” Media interest for Customs4U.com was international as well, with correspondents from far-reaching outlets such as China, Finland, France, and Spain inquiring Stokely about the platform. “[As] the porn industry seeks to combat piracy with new methods,” writes Santi Araujo of Madrid-based Alt1040.com, “Tim Stokely has created a platform that allows content creators to upload videos and ask customers what they really want to see … [Customs4U] creates a ‘meeting point’ between professional porn stars and their consumers. The service … allows customers to obtain something unique, pay only for what is requested, and turns the consumer into a makeshift director of his own fantasy video.” Stokely says, “We’re over the moon with how our platform has been received by industry performers, studio heavyweights, and the international mainstream media. Customs4U.com prides itself on providing a way for countless women around the world to become self-sufficient businesswomen in a very sexy, empowering way.” “The sheer volume of people who stopped by our booth and requested meetings with us during AEE indicates the industry as a whole, as well as consumers, are looking for this sort of portal as the next phase in adult entertainment content creation and delivery,” adds Stokely. “We’re extremely happy with the response.” Media wishing to demo Customs4U.com or schedule an interview with the service’s founders should email pr@customs4u.com.
