Comedian Sara Benincasa to Moderate #SexTalkTuesday, Dec. 17 |
CYBERSPACE—Twitter-based sex chat program #SexTalkTuesday will feature comedian Sara Benincasa as a guest moderator for its Tuesday, December 17 show. "Sara is super funny and as the former host of shows like 'Get in Bed' and 'Tub Talk with Sara B,' she has plenty of experience getting people to speak openly, honestly—and hilariously—about sex," said Angie Rowntree, publisher of Sssh.com and founder of #SexTalkTuesday. The fun and provocative Twitter-based chat is held every 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month from 4pm to 5pm EST. Hosted and coordinated by Sssh.com, #SexTalkTuesday is one of the web’s premier destinations for erotica made by and for women. Each session, a guest moderator asks thought-provoking questions to an active group of participants who send hundreds of tweets during each round of #SexTalkTuesday. The result is a lively and entertaining discussion that invites participants to be open and candid with their opinions on sex, life, love and the humor of it all, in a way that fosters a supportive and compassionate environment for the conversation. Sara Benincasa's outspoken comedy has won praise from the Chicago Tribune, CNN, The Guardian, and The New York Times, and has earned her an ECNY (Emerging Comedian of New York) Award and a nomination for a Webby for best performance, alongside Isabella Rosellini. Sara was a citizen journalist for the 2008 MTV Choose or Lose Street Team, part of MTV’s 2008 Emmy Award-winning Think campaign. Sara also hosted, Nerve.com’s hit "Tub Talk with Sara B.," a notorious web talk show in which she interviewed comedians and humor writers in her bathtub. Guests included humorist Andy Borowitz (BorowitzReport.com), current SNL writer John Mulaney, Andy Kauffman, award winning comedian Reggie Watts, author Jonathan Ames ("Bored to Death"), and a variety of other funny/smart/weird people.
