Jake Jaxson Drops Latest Feature, âAnswered Prayersâ |
NEW YORK, NY — Today Jake Jaxson has released 'The Banker' - Part One of a five part mini-series event for Answered Prayers. Part One: 'The Banker' is now exclusively playing on CockyBoys.com and features exclusive performers Jake Bass and Ricky Roman with exclusive Max Carter making a brief appearance in his starring role as Malic. Answered Prayers is an allegory set against an ancient family feud and the follies of man. This highly stylized project is currently profiled in America’s largest weekly newspaper, The Village Voice, with a multi-page feature story detailing the inspiration. Answered Prayers is about fear – its destructive power and what it takes to beat it. It’s a highly personal project for CockyBoys' owner and director Jake Jaxson who says, "At night, sometimes I lull myself to sleep devising more and more intricate ways to ‘get even’ and exact revenge. Come on, we all do it! You know, the devilish day dreams involving a co-worker, an over-zealous dance mom, your parent or sibling. Have you ever wondered where those little voices in your head come from? The ones that have the power keep us out of trouble and so often get us into trouble. Oh these voices, how they dance around inside our heads and whispers sweet nothings in our ear. They encourage and justify our every move -- playing on our best hopes and fears like a harp from hell." Answered Prayers is Jaxson's way of exploring and visualizing what we all experience in everyday life. Like the groundbreaking smash CockyBoys release The Haunting, Answered Prayers will be broken up into five stylistically unique releases – each video based on a set of human archetypes: ‘The Banker’ ‘The Bully’ ‘The Healer’ ‘The Lamb’ ‘The Actor’ Intertwined in each of the videos is a family feud between two brothers, Jinks and Malic, ancient beings – each fighting for the hearts and mind of mankind. Hypocrisy, manipulation, fear, loathing, revenge, secrets, luck, and love, all highlight an epic struggle.
