CineKink's 'A Decade of Decadence' Retrospective in NYC, Nov. 23 |
RAHWAY, NJ—CineKink celebrates its tenth anniversary with a special screening of films that explore and embrace a wide diversity of sexuality. CineKink: A Decade of Decadence will screen Saturday, November 23 at 7:00pm, at Anthology Film Archives, located at 32 Second Ave, New York, NY. A Decade of Decadence, a retrospective look at some of the festival’s favorite shorts, probes a range of sexual proclivities and perversities culled from a decade’s worth of screenings. Featuring one selection from each year of CineKink’s existence, the steamy sampler includes Pornographic Apathetic, Haircut, Sullivan’s Last Call, Hitchcocked, Teat Beat of Sex, Kink Inc., The Pinky Song, Piss, Tooshie Smooshie, and Impact. Full descriptions of all films are available here At 9:30pm, CineKink will present the newly restored version of the cult classic, Preaching to the Perverted. Winner of the Festival’s first Audience Choice Award in 2003, and starring Guinevere Turner, the British romp follows a young infiltrator as he’s dispatched by moral crusaders in Parliament, to gather evidence against fetish clubs in the United Kingdom. But thrust into a shiny world of latex and parties, he instead becomes infatuated with Tanya Cheex, a sex goddess from New York and leader of the fetish scene on both sides of the Atlantic. More information about Preaching to the Perverted is available here. The trailer for the film is available here. “We’re thrilled to be bringing back some favorite films and filmmakers, in honor of reaching this decade marker,” said CineKink co-founder and director, Lisa Vandever. “It will be a happy reunion for some of our audience, who’ve been with us since way back, and also a chance for these amazing works to be discovered by a whole new crowd.” Admission is $12 door / $10 advance per screening, and is restricted to those 18 and over only. A limited number of advance purchase, double-feature tickets are available for $15; these tickets are also available to students and seniors for $12, and $10 for CineKink members.
