Nominees for 6th Annual Tranny Awards Announced-UPDATED

GLENDALE, Calif.—The 6th Annual Tranny Awards will be held on Sunday, February 16, 2014, at the Beyond the Stars Palace, 417 N. Brand Blvd. in Glendale, California, with a start time yet to be announced. The show, which is hosted by Grooby Productions, is expected to be attended by, among others, the top transsexual performers, directors and producers in the adult industry. Last year's show, which was at the same location, saw about 350 attendees for a ceremony lasting approximately three hours. "This is probably one of the most difficult tasks of the Tranny Awards process," said Grooby Creative Director Kristel Penn. "For a limited time, we opened pre-nominations up to the fans, industry members including producers, models, media, and affiliates then ask them to submit their picks in a number of different categories. This year we were inundated with so many deserving nominations and it was extremely difficult to pare down the preliminary list to our final list of nominees shown on the Tranny Awards website. This year we've also cut down the number of nominees per category, so believe me, putting together a final list was no easy task, and so anybody who made it through to the nomination list has done extremely well." This year at the Tranny Awards, there will be 22 award categories, including the new additions of the Voluptuous Diva Award and the Best Photographer Award, which is different than the Best Scene Producer and based on photography skills only. This is also the second year the Tranny Awards will be including the Best FTM Performer Award.
