SugarDVD Jumps on New SteamOS |
CYBERSPACE—If any company exemplifies the adaptive and adoptive nature of porn, it’s SugarDVD, the veteran video-on-demand service that never met a digital platform it didn’t embrace with enthusiasm. These include PS3, Xbox, GoogleTV, Boxee, Roku, the new Xbox One, the new Ouya gaming console and Google Glass. Living up to its reputation once again, the company took just 48 hours following the launch this week by game developer Valve of the brand spanking new Linux-based SteamOS to unveil, according to Escapist Magazine, “plans for a SteamOS version of its streaming adult entertainment service - porn, in other words. Steamy!” CEO Jax Smith told the online mag the decision was a no-brainer. "Our apps have had no problem reaching gamers through Xbox and Playstation, and so far, the gaming community loves our apps,” he said. “It'd be foolish not to develop for Valve's new venture." Foolish, Jax is not. For years now the young executive has staked out a consistent position where its target demographic can see it. According to company rep Rebecca Bolen, gamers and porners are peas who consistently share the same pod. "We love the gaming community," she enthused to Escapist. "Gamers can make or break new technology, so we're excited to get started developing our adult app for Valve's promising new devices. "Any device that has easily-accessible adult content on it will be more popular than one that doesn't," she added Sounds like another match made in digital heaven. For more on SugarDVD, go here.
