Williams Trading Conducts Training Event in Charlotte, N.C.

PENNSAUKEN, N.J.—Williams Trading recently concluded another successful distributor-sponsored training event, this time in Charlotte, N.C. The event, designed to benefit local brick-and-mortar stores, took place Aug. 22. “The take-away was a wealth of new knowledge and information to implement in their stores immediately,” said Kelly Szwed, marketing and promotions coordinator for Williams Trading, who developed the event to maximize the one-on-one time each vendor had with the attendees. Several chaing were represented at the event, and managers and buyers were able to see the newest and best products and attend a training session that included up-selling and merchandising tips as well as a Q&A session. “Training stores is the new way,” said Senior Sales Specialist Ron Kohls. “Events like this help the stores have a better idea on the products they sell, where they can pass on that knowledge to the end user which makes it a win-win for everybody.” Leading manufacturers included Icon Brands, The Screaming O, Pipedream Products, Classic Erotica, Shunga Erotic Art, System Jo, California Exotic Novelties and the new kid on the block, Novel Creations. "Everyone in attendance liked the format of the seminar and hopefully everyone was able to learn a little something that maybe they were not aware of before from the vendors who showcased their products," added senior sales specialist Bob Cichetti, "Being able to put faces with names means a lot because we don't always get a chance to meet everyone that we deal with and seminars like this provide that little something extra." The event was rounded out with a group dinner at The Melting Pot where Cichetti, Kohls and Szwed, along with the vendors and customers enjoyed good food, many laughs, a chance to get to know each other better and talk shop in a very casual and relaxed atmosphere.
