Talent Testing Service Begins 'Health Screening Month' |
MIAMI—Talent Testing Service (TTS) has announced that it will start screening for Hepatitis B (HBV) and Hepatitis C (HCV) on all basic panel tests effective tomorrow, June 7, as part of the TTS Health Screening Month. The full panel test price will change to $120 and applies for all samples collected at TTS facilities in Northridge, Calif.; Miami; and all 300 draw stations around the country. The health screening will end on July 7. "Today we are implementing what we call TTS Industry Screening Month." said Sixto Pacheco, president and CEO of TTS. “We hope that everyone, from established talents to newcomers to the industry, take advantage of this additional screening at no extra cost. This month long event will also reset the industry health statistics giving us a clean slate for the second half of the year.” According to the CDC and American Cancer Society, viral hepatitis is a leading infectious cause of death in the U.S. The majority of liver cancers in the world are attributable to chronic infections of HBV and/or HCV. Primary prevention of HBV infection includes vaccination. HCV infection is potentially preventable through public health measures, including screenings.
