Skin Diamond / Eric John ErotiqueTV Appearance Postponed Due to Illness |
CYBERSPACE — The live sex performance by Skin Diamond and Eric John on Erotique Entertainment’s Superstar Sunday Live scheduled for this morning had to be postponed until July 14 due to the fact that Diamond is still recovering from a recent flu-like ailment. John described the morning on his Twitter feed @Eric_John, writing, “Good morning. I’m here with Skin Diamond, who as you may know [via tweets on her Twitter feed @Skin_Diamond] has been fighting quite a bad cold/flu. We have decided she is still too sick.” He continued on Twitter: “Both Skin and I realize that lots of you have been waiting for this show for a long time. We’re going to reschedule the show for July 14, 2013. John added, “This is not life or death, this is entertainment. And there is no reason to put the show in front of people’s health.” John credited Diamond’s commitment and work ethic, saying, “I must say Skin made a truly valiant attempt to overcome her illness and do the show anyway, but sitting here listening to her cough and wheeze, the right thing to do is quite clear.” Diamond apologized personally to her Twitter followers as well, posting, “So sorry to announce that I won’t be able to do my live shoot with Eric John today. Still really sick and have trouble breathing. I hate to disappoint you but I did try my best! We are rescheduling for July 14th and I promise to make up for it!” She added, “I am really upset about not being able to do the show today. I’ve been looking forward to it for a long time, and so many of the fans were as well.” She was appreciative of her agent and John, observing that, “I want to thank both my agent Mark Speigler and producer Eric John for being very caring and understanding. They both handled the situation not only professionally, but in fact, went out of their way to cheer me up even though I felt like a big disappointment. If there’s one thing I hate it is feeling like I failed, even though in this case circumstances were out of my control.” As a producer, beyond the obligations to the broadcast partners and the fans, the health of all the performers must be the first priority at all times. “In addition to the immediate concern for Skin’s health,” explained John, “exposing me to her illness would in turn expose others that I would work with today and this week. People in this industry have to be far more considerate and cautious than regular people – though regular people could stand to be more cautious as well.” John’s stance is clear. “Certainly, for Erotique Entertainment, the health and safety of performer’s and employee’s always is the top priority.” “I promise everyone that on July 14th we will put on a truly kick-ass live show! The wait will be worth it,” Diamond concluded.
