CockyBoys âProject GogoBoyâ Scores Big at Grabbys |
NEW YORK—CockyBoy's Project GogoBoy and director Jake Jaxson led the pack this weekend at the Grabbys with four wins (tying NakedSword for most wins), including Best Director (Jake Jackson, Project GogoBoy), Movie of the Year (Project GogoBoy), SteamWork's Fan Favorite Movie (Project GogoBoy) and Newcomer of the Year (CockyBoy star of Project GogoBoy, Max Ryder). With this weekend's success at the Grabby Awards and last month's triumphs at the TLA GAY Awards (CockyBoys swept every major category, including Best Movie, Best Director and Best Studio/Content Producer), the once web-only amateur studio has grabbed everyone's attention yet again. When partners Jake Jaxson, RJ Sebastian and Benny Morecock took over the studio in 2010, CockyBoys was struggling to find an identity in a crowded marketplace. Now — thanks to reality-based series like Project GoGoBoy and Roadstrip, in addition to one-of-a-kind projects like The Haunting and standout scenes released regularly on CockyBoys.com—they have become one of the most successful studios in the business. "I've been lucky enough to have one of the best teams in the business, and models that will really go there with us on out of the box new ventures,” said CockyBoys director Jake Jaxson. “I can't thank Mark and Stacy at the Grabbys enough for recognizing all the sweat and passion that went into these projects as well as all the talented people who help me make these them come to life." With well over 5,000 DVD's sold, Project GoGoBoy was one of the top grossing movies of 2012 and Jaxson says he expects The Haunting and Roadstrip (which concludes next week) to surpass it. The CockyBoys Summer Tour — featuring Project GogoBoy and Roadstrip stars like Max Ryder and Jake Bass, kicked off during the Grabbys weekend with the Manhunt/CockyBoys Grabby celebration at Chicago's HYDRATE. "We're just getting started in terms of what we can accomplish creatively and now that we have everyone's attention the real fun begins," added Jaxson. "We're building a business based on high-quality, guilt-free erotica and I can't wait for people to see what's coming next."
