HPPPA Holds Business Enhancement Workshops During Recent ILS |
SACRAMENTO, Calif.—During the three-day International Lingerie Show in Las Vegas last month, the Home Pleasure Party Plan Association conducted a day of Business Growth and Development activities in order to offer opportunities for business enhancement. Two workshops were presented on April 9. “Material Witness,” presented by HPPPA founder and Director Tamara Payton-Bell, focused on the types of materials used to make adult toys, covered everything from rubber, elastomer and plastics, to glass, TPR and silicone grades. “Product buyers need to be knowledgeable about what the materials the toys they’re buying are made of; not just for their own information but to be able to offer their customers products that are compatible with their bodies and that are right for their needs,” Payton-Bell said. The second presentation, “Bodacious Bundling” with Kim Varner, the association’s member liaison/member services and benefits manager, was an interactive session where participants learned to create product bundles at every price point. At the end of the presentation, attendees created their own product bundles to reinforce what was discussed during the presentation. To round out the Business Growth and Development Day program, members participated in an open forum where any number of topics specific to home pleasure party plans was covered. The conversation was lively and all of the party plan owners participated fully. Sheba Mills, owner of Sweet Sensations (Brooklyn, NY.) praised the activities of the day: “I learned a lot about ways I can improve my business. I learned some things I can do to increase my sales and book more parties.” For more information, visit HPPPA.org.
