2013 XRCO Award Winners Announced

HOLLYWOOD—The X-Rated Critics Organization (XRCO) held its 29th annual awards ceremony Thursday night at Supperclub LA, a brand new venue for the event. The 2013 XRCO Awards Show was hosted by adult megastar Misty Stone and XRCO/AVN Hall of Famer Ed Powers, with starlets Lilly Evans and Maddy O'Reilly serving as the traditional "Heart-On Girls" in charge of conferring the guild's heart-shaped trophies to their winners. Entertainment for the evening included a stand-up set by another AVN Hall of Famer, performer-cum-comedienne Rebecca Bardoux, as well as some video glimpses of the programming from former AVN honchos Paul Fishbein and Darren Roberts' new X3Sixty Network. Perpetual winner Axel Braun did not see any lull in his streak, to say the least, nearly sweeping the parody categories by scooping up Best Parody (Comedy) for his Star Wars XXX: A Porn Parody, Best Parody (Comic) for his Superman vs. Spider-Man: An Axel Braun Parody and Best Director (Parody). The lone remaining slot in the arena, as a matter of fact—Best Parody (Drama)—had to be shared by two contenders, in a rare tie between Adam & Eve Pictures' Dallas XXX: A Parody and Smash Pictures' Diary of Love. John Stagliano saw vindication from the near shutout his magnum opus Voracious: The First Season received at this year's AVN Awards by taking home the Best Epic honor for the work. And its star, Brooklyn Lee, walked away double fisting trophies for the distinctions of Superslut and Orgasmic Oralist. Another performer who scored her own pair of Heart-Ons was Lily Carter, being crowned Cream Dream and Best Actress, the latter for her work in Elegant Angel Productions' Wasteland. That was just one of the categories in which Graham Travis' masterpiece repeated the wins it collected at the AVN Awards; Travis also took Best Director (Features) and the movie received the grand prize of the evening, Best Release.  The event was sponsored by Vivid Entertainment, Wicked Pictures, IAFD.com, Jules Jordan Video, Evil Angel, X-Play and its new parody Not The Wizard of Oz XXX, Adam & Eve Pictures, Axel Braun Productions and Pipeline Multimedia.
