Andy San Dimas Lands Horror Role Opposite Reubens |
CHATSWORTH, Calif.—AVN's 2011 Best Actress co-winner, Andy San Dimas, gets her second, much more prominent taste of the mainstream spotlight with a new role just awarded her in forthcoming horror-comedy Lumberjack Man from Madisonian Films, in which she will star alongside one of her childhood idols, Paul "Pee-Wee Herman" Reubens. San Dimas nabbed her first big crossover break in the 2011 film Drive, wherein she shared screen time and even a brief dialogue exchange with star Ryan Gosling. In Lumberjack Man, described as "a throwback to the character driven horror movies of the '80s," she will play Theresa, one of the main counselors at the church camp where the movie takes place. "They had a big casting at LA Direct [Models]," San Dimas told AVN. "I don't know if they auditioned any other agencies ... they were auditioning girls to play hookers and I ended up getting a lead camp counselor part. Paul Reubens is confirmed as the lead detective in the movie." That piece of information has San Dimas exceptionally excited about the project. "It's gonna be so hard not to nerd out on Pee-Wee," she said. "I've been such a superfan ever since I was a little girl." Lumberjack Man is scheduled for a 30-day shoot during April in Austin, Texas, with Josh Bear directing. Image of Paul Reubens courtesy of PDXRetro.com.
