Adult Industry Fundraiser Benefits Free Speech Coalition, ASACP |
LOS ANGELES, Calif.—The 2013 XBIZ Awards will feature a special fundraising segment during the show. All proceeds from the fundraiser will be split equally between the Free Speech Coalition (FSC), the adult industry trade group, and the Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP). Presented by Fleshlight, the fundraiser will take place Friday, January 11 at the Century Plaza Hotel in Century City, Los Angeles. Girlfriends Films Vice-President Moose will co-host the fundraiser alongside MetArt.com owner Amnon. "With the adult industry gathered together Friday night for the award show, XBIZ had the wonderful idea to devote a portion of the evening to bettering our industry and the world," stated Moose. "I hope everyone in attendance will join in supporting two great causes." ASACP Executive Director Tim Henning remarked, "ASACP is extremely grateful to XBIZ for staging this fundraiser... XBIZ is a founding sponsor of the association and providing us with this opportunity to raise awareness and funding among industry leaders is invaluable to ASACP." Diane Duke, CEO of FSC, added, “This is a fantastic opportunity for FSC and ASACP to reach out to the industry, especially as we come together to recognize our industry's best and brightest. A special thanks to ... the folks at XBIZ for their generosity.” For more information about the FSC, click here. For more information about the ASACP, click here. Donations of $1,000 or more made by any company or individual during the fundraiser will be publicized in a post-show "Thank You" advertisement. "What the FSC and ASACP do for our industry is invaluable," said XBIZ’s Alec Helmy. "So it is both an honor and a privilege to be able to hold this fundraiser that benefits these two remarkable organizations as we host the industry elite at our crown jewel event of the year."
