Susan Colvin Honored with Business Woman of the Year Award |
CHINO, Calif.—Susan Colvin, president and CEO of California Exotic Novelties and of the luxury pleasure product company Jopen, was honored with the EAN Erotixxx Award for Business Woman of the Year. “Susan Colvin sets a stellar example as a business person in the novelty industry. Her dedication and vision has created one of the most respected and largest novelty manufacturers, California Exotic Novelties, as well as the popular luxury company, Jopen. We’re thrilled to bestow the Business Woman of the Year to her,” said Huda Najebzadeh from EAN Magazine. A pioneer in the novelty industry, Colvin was the first woman to own and operate a major manufacturing company. “Susan’s hands-on commitment to her business is what sets her apart,” explained Jackie White, vice president of sales for California Exotic Novelties. “She’s the hardest working woman in the industry and it shows. Susan is involved with every aspect of California Exotic Novelties’ operation, from product development to sales, from logistics to marketing; her personal touch is what makes her so incredibly deserving of this honor.” The award recognizes excellence in business and is bestowed to leaders who embody commitment and dedication to the industry. It was presented to Colvin during the 2012 eroFame Show in Hanover, Germany. This is the second year in a row that Colvin has won the esteemed accolade. “In a corporate environment dominated by men, Susan clearly stands out not only as a successful and savvy business woman, but as a successful and savvy business person,” said Al Bloom, director of marketing for California Exotic Novelties. “It is no accident that California Exotic Novelties became the number one novelty company in less than 20 years. Her keen business skills, unwavering dedication, and impeccable business ethics are what earned her this honor.” “I’d like to thank Matthias Poehl, Huda Najebzadeh, and the entire EAN team for this wonderful recognition. I’m honored to be the recipient of the EAN Erotixxx Award for Business Woman of the Year,” said Colvin. “Being a woman in this industry presents a lot of challenges not found anywhere else. To all of those who’ve shown support over the years, thank you for believing in me! I’m very touched and appreciative.”
