StorErotica Awards Ballot for Soft Goods Goes Live

CLEARWATER, Fla.—Already crowning the year’s best in the adult toy and novelty sector, StorErotica Magazine will present their awards honoring the soft goods portion of the industry at the International Lingerie Show at the Rio Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Sept. 10-12. ILS is held in conjunction this year with the AVN Novelty Expo. StorErotica has solicited the advice of retailers, manufacturers and distributors in deciding who they believe represented the soft goods industry with exemplary products and services during the past year.  Thus, the final StorErotica Awards ballot, consisting of seven soft goods categories, will be posted live online only at StorEroticaAwards.com today through Aug. 17. "StorErotica is delighted to have our awards season culminate once again at the International Lingerie Show, the convention that defines the intimate fashion portion of our industry," said Kristofer Kay, editor of StorErotica Magazine. "This season has proven that soft goods are as strong as ever in adult retail stores, thanks to those manufacturers who continue to offer sexy, affordable apparel to both men and women."  This year’s soft product awards include one new category, the Special Focus Award, honoring one Special Focus editorial produced by StorErotica Magazine over the past six issues (note: there was also a Special Focus Award category in StorErotica’s Awards for hard products, presented at the July 2012 ANME Founders Show).  In 2012, the StorErotica Special Focus Award honors eight companies who were featured in the Special Focus on Corsets, which appeared in the December 2011 issue. “Corsets have dramatically evolved in the erotic retail industry, from a traditional one-use item into a versatile, multi-use piece of intimate apparel,” Kay said.  “Soft good manufacturers are once again seeking to capitalize on the revival and develop new styles of corsets for a new, broader range of customer.” Additionally, the 2012 StorErotica Awards will honor the diversity that comprises the hard work and dedication in the soft goods industry. Categories to be featured this year will also include Lingerie Manufacturer of the Year, Dancewear Manufacturer of the Year, Costume Manufacturer of the Year, Shoe Manufacturer of the Year, Accessory Manufacturer of the Year and Online Retailer of the Year. The StorErotica Awards will be handed out Monday, Sept. 10 during the opening night fashion show at ILS.
