Williams Tradingâs Rich Pyne Wins Big in Vegas |
PENNSAUKEN, N.J.—Adult distributor Williams Trading Company's very own Rich Pyne, co-owner and sales manager, was a hefty winner as well as local hero at the recent World Series of Poker inLas Vegas. The World Series of Poker is the largest poker event in the world has been in existence since the early 1970s. Pyne, displaying his poker savvy, earned himself a place at the table. This event has been around for more than 30 years and grows in popularity each year. This year 6,500 participants paid $10,000 each to ante up at this 10-day long event in the hopes of being the ultimate winner of the $8.5 million pot. After nine days of play, Pyne made it to the semi-finals before he was finally eliminated. He finished in 52nd place and earned a handsome $156,000. "This year I brought my wife Gina and children Eric and Jessica and they had a blast,” Pyne said. “Even though I was playing poker everyday from noon until 1 a.m., they were able to go to the pool and see some shows on the Strip. I'd become somewhat of a favorite and I was interviewed by ESPN which will air sometime next month. I am now seeking the designation of professional poker player for future poker events!"
