Bettie Page Clothing Inks Deal for New Outlet in Philly |
PHILADELPHIA—The iconic Bettie Page Clothing stores continue their growth by signing a 10-year lease for a new boutique in the Center City section of Philadelphia. Located between the new Apple Store and BCBG, Bettie Page continues their pattern of securing prime locations in the markets they enter. "This location has a special meaning for me,” said Jan Glaser, co-owner of Bettie Page Clothing. "I was born in Philadelphia and have always had a great fondness for this city. The residents are fashion conscious and urbane, with Philadelphia boasting a huge number of art museums, music venues, top flight restaurants and a merging of cultures from around the world. We are very excited to enter this dynamic market.” Tatyana, lead designer and co-owner of Bettie Page agreed: "I think that my designs fit the 'big city lifestyle.' Ladies in Philadelphia like to dress up and be seen as feminine but with a definite sense of confidence. I try to portray that strength of femininity in the Bettie Page boutiques.” The new Bettie Page store will be open in September, 2012, and will be located at 1605 Walnut St.
