Bethenny Frankel Gets Frank About Vibrators |
LOS ANGELES—Bethenny Frankel is known for being straight up with the audience and fans of her daytime talk show, so when it came time to talk about vibrators, she didn’t mess around. Accompanied by actress Lisa Rinna and Kristen Tribby, director of creative development for The Pleasure Chest, Frankel—star of Real Housewives of New York and founder of Skinnygirl Cocktails—showcased a table filled with pleasure products and highlighted a select few for her fans. The episode, titled “The Wide World of Vibrators,” aired Monday, June 18, on Fox, and featured products from Jopen, Doc Johnson, LELO and more. The segment starts with Frankel talking about an antique vibrator, explaining that it was used by doctors to treat hysteria. “Someone put this inside of me, it would create hysteria,” she quipped, later adding, “We’ve come a long way, baby!” Tribby talked briefly of the history of vibrators, noting that they were sold in Sears and other stores and catalogs once upon a time. These days, she added, there are vibrators and pleasure products available in a variety of price ranges, preferences and colors. First up was the Pocket Rocket from Doc Johnson, which Tribby said is the most common and a good first-time vibrator. When Frankel mentioned she had a Pocket Rocket and a bullet from her first time buying vibrators, Tribby said it was time to upgrade her. Frankel also reported that a survey of the audience showed most women achieved two orgasms when using vibrators, while “one of you crazy bitches in the audience gets 15 orgasms a time. I wanna party with you, cowgirl!” Tribby then had Frankel and Rinna hold on to the shaft of the Intensity by Jopen, prompting both women to squeal when they felt the electrical current. “This is like having sex with a professional athlete, just so you know,” Frankel said of the product. Tribby also showed off the gold Inez from LELO’s Luxe line of massagers. “It’s like Louboutins for the you-know-what,” Rinna said of the vibe, which carries a more than $14,000 price tag. In addition to the products the trio talked about, a number of items were on display on a table in front of them, including items from OhMiBod’s Bedroom Kandi line, products from Big Teaze Toys, the new Wonderland massagers from Doc Johnson, the We-Vibe and the UFO from Fun Factory.
