Sir Richard's Asks Women What Will Never Go In Their Vaginas

BOULDER, Colo.—Socially conscious condom maker Sir Richard's Condom Company likes to mix it up when it comes to advertising. In past efforts, the Colorado-based company has, as AdWeek put it, defended the honor of sluts everywhere. In its latest video effort, the manufacturer on a mission now wants to know what women will not put in their vaginas, and decided the best way to find out was simply to ask. "I have some basic rules about what will never go in my vagina," says the first woman in the video, who proceeds to answer the "what" question with "who" answers: "Investment bankers, pastry chefs..." The rest of the women follow suit, ticking off a litany of out-of-luck professions and actual people, including, to name but a few, bowlers, street performers, Brad, men who collect samurai swords, roadies, bouncers, mixologists, professors, men who leave a couple of buttons undone, and sadly, a bartender named Jeremy who works at Sancho's. The video ends with the admonition, "We just hope you keep chemicals out of your vagina," a rather obvious reminder that Sir Richard's condoms are made from 100 percent natural latex, with a premium lubricant that is free of spermicides, parabens and glycerin, is vegan certified and free of casein. The video is definitely worth one minute of your time, as it features attractive women talking about their vaginas (hello), but what is most striking about it, what we could not help but notice, what we believe the world must notice, what we demand the world notice, is that the single profession—seemingly the only profession—that not one woman said they would NEVER allow in their vagina was... ... porn star!
